Ballincashel House originally stood where the current gardens exist which are open to the public. In 1964 it was destroyed by fire and the current house grew out of the Garden House, which overlooked the former formal gradens. It comprises a house with interconnecting reception rooms, which are decorated in a old period style and enjoys views over the undulating parkland to the front and the courtyard to the rear. To the west of the house are the courtyard and a working farmyard beyond. There are also a fine stone built groom's house and another apartment beside the house. The courtyard incorporates a fully fitted apartment as well as 2 large show rooms and formers stables - now to be used as art studios. The farmyard is adjacent to this yard and has a large workshop, coach houses ad a large hay barn, which leads out to the sheep and cattle holding pens. The proprety is located near the Village of Oldcastle and close to the Loughcrew Caims and on the road joining Ballinlough to Millbrock. Oldcaslt is about 5 km, Kells 15 km, Navan 30, Virginia 11 km and Dublin about 85 km.
