An impressive, elegant apartment in a 15th century castle. In this century, two presidents of Ireland and other heads of state, including Charles de Gaulle and Ronald Reagan, have been guests here. The private apartment in this magnificent castle is beautifully appointed with antique furniture and paintings and overlooks the formal garden. Medieval banquets are held in a separate part of the main castle from April to October. Accommodation: The apartment is reached by a flight of stone steps, and is on two levels. It contains the following: Drawing room with fireplace and grand piano. Oak sitting room/dining room with fireplace. Small well equipped kitchen. Small office area. Two king size double bedrooms one with en suite bathroom. Two twins (2 beds), both en suite. One further twin room and one further bathroom. Amenities in the area: Riding, fishing, hunting, and walking. There are six golf courses within two hours drive including Lahinch. Dromoland Castle course is ten minutes away. The castle, extensively and sensitively restored to its 15th century glory, is available for conferences, incentive groups and corporate entertainment. Medieval banquets are held at 6.pm in the castle Great Room, which is in the far end of the castle.
